Ingredients

  • 6 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1/2 cup Tamarind concentrate or tamarind paste
  • 1/4 - 1/2 cup simple syrup water and sugar mixture
  • 2 cups ice
  • lemon (sliced) optional

Instructions

  • Bring water to a boil. Turn off heat and add the tea bags. Steep for 20 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let cool.
  • To a pitcher add the brewed tea, tamarind concentrate, ice and simple syrup. Stir thoroughly until tamarind has been dissolved. Serve with a lemon slice and enjoy a refreshing cool drink this summer.
