- 6 cups water
- 4 black tea bags
- 1/2 cup Tamarind concentrate or tamarind paste
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup simple syrup water and sugar mixture
- 2 cups ice
- lemon (sliced) optional
- Bring water to a boil. Turn off heat and add the tea bags. Steep for 20 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let cool.
- To a pitcher add the brewed tea, tamarind concentrate, ice and simple syrup. Stir thoroughly until tamarind has been dissolved. Serve with a lemon slice and enjoy a refreshing cool drink this summer.
