Ingredients
- 3/4 cup rice
- 7 cups water or broth
- 1 Tbsp ginger diced
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- salt to taste
Optional Ingredients
- Cilantro
- Sauté mushrooms
- scallions or green onions
- sesame seeds
- chili garlic oil
- oyster sauce
Instructions
- In a pot add rice, water, ginger, white pepper, salt, and bring to a boil. While stirring occasionally simmer until it becomes thick porridge like consistency. Serve in bowls and top with any or all the optional ingredients.
