4skinlessboneless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes ( you can use veggies instead of chicken)( like mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini,)
1tablespoonhoney or maple syrup
4garlic clovescrushed
1-inchpiece of fresh ginger rootfinely chopped
2green chiliesfinely chopped
juice of 2 limes
Grated zest of 1 lime
1/4cuprice wine vinegar
2tablespoonssweet chili sauce
1/4cupsoy sauce
pinch of turmeric
Instructions
Place all the marinade ingredients in a bowl and mix together well. Add the chicken, then cover and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 8 hours if not longer. (longer you let it sit the better it will taste)
Remove the chicken cubes from the marinade and thread them on skewers. Heat a barbecue or a ridged grill pan until smoking. Add the skewers and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, turning them regularly and brushing liberally with the marinade. Serve hot from the grill with a salad.
